Scratchboard Materials
Here you will find a list of the materials I use in Scratchboard
Ampersand
The Scratchboard that I use for all of my pieces is Ampersand Scratchboard. This can be purchased through multiple online shops. In the UK I tend to use Jacksons Art which is an online art shop.
SLICE, Swann Morton, Or any generic brand
This is one of the key tools that I use with my Scratchboard work. I will use both branded (such as SLICE and Swann Morton) craft knives, and unbranded craft knives to add some of the brighter highlights to my pieces. This is a very versatile tool and can even be used on its own to create an entire scratchboard piece without any other additional tools. Just make sure you have a light hand.
Any Generic Brand
Tattoo needles are a staple tool in my collection. I use them in every piece due to their different styles and adaptability. They can vary from one single needle, to 5 needles stacked on top of each other in weaved patterns. These can be purchased in a variety pack of 100 off Amazon. I would recommend trying as many different styles of tattoo needles as possible as they all give varying effects. The ones I use most are:
1RL (1 Round Liner), 5RL (5 Round Liner) and 5M1 (5 Weaved Magnum)
